Bobby Lee Thompson III (born June 18, 1991) professionally known as Kydo Chill, is a thriving independent hiphop artist, producer, music engineer, film editor, director and media art graphic designer from San Bernardino, California often referred to as the"Inland Empire" or "IE". At the age of six kydo started making music with his brother recording on a karaoke machine he got for christmas the following year. After joining the "Roc$tar Boardboyz" collective, a couple of friend heard it and pushed him to make a mixtape that would release after graduating high school in 2009 titled "Herringbonez & Diamondz the Mixtape". The following year he released 3 mixtapes " Rocketz N My Boomboxx" in the spring of 2010, "A Nightmare On 3rd Street" on halloween of 2010 and "Black Friday" in november of 2010, which got a major buzz around the inland empire area and soon after him and his brother started doing shows at the local clubs and musical platforms. Not to long after he released his fifth mixtape "Bobby's World" and it was uploaded to datpiff.com at a later date in 2011, all released under his alias "KyD". After doing shows behind the projects released by the two and others in 2012, in 2013 he released a ep produced by himself and brother Kri$Truth entitled "Koolin' As I Should" that built a bigger demand for music so chill spent the next two summers producing over 400 beats, 3 mixtapes for his brother Kri$Truth and various artist from my collective and an album of production for himself that would later release on his 24th birthday (6/18/2015) on all digital platforms for retail under a independent label "Boardboy Music Worldwide" started by himself, brother Kri$Truth and Dot Everything. Kydo's current body of work is a 6 track free ep produced, mixed, and written by me i released July 31, 2016 titled "From S.B. with Love (From San Bernardino with Love)" in dedication to the city to show unity due to the rising record breaking murder rate. He is currently working on his second album "A Nightmare On 3rd Street 2" the follow up to his 2010s release, set to hit itunes this 2017. Kydo has established a popular buzz within the IE around his presence as an independent artist known for his charismatic style of wordplay and reality lyrics over his kool vibe productions stands out to hip hop spectators.
